Playing Hydro Hopper is a lot of fun.
All you need to do is to go to the Docks. You’ll see a boat docked on the shore. Just click on the boat and you’ll be prompted to start Hydro Hopper.
Next thing you know your penguin is on a inner tube getting pulled by the boat!
You’ll have to maneuver your penguin around and over the many obstacles that are in the water. To do that, just move your mouse in the direction you want your penguin to move (left or right).
Jumping over and avoiding obstacles will give points. To jump over the obstacles, just click on the left mouse button. You can also use the spacebar to jump, but I find it easier to just use the mouse. You can move from left to right while you are jumping and while in mid-air.
There are several different obstacles that you will have to avoid as you play:
Level 1
★ Beach balls
★ Scopes
★ Green bottles
★ Blocks of Ice
★ Logs
Level 2
★ Buoys ~ you can not jump over them
★ Life rings (if you’ve lost a life)
Level 3
★ Frogs ~ Ribbit!
Level 4
★ Ducks ~ they swim and move oddly, so watch them closely!
Level 5
★ Sharks ~ they move diagonally
Watch out for the buoys. You can not jump over them, so you’ll want to just avoid them.
The game ends when you run out of lives. Keep an eye out for life rings. When you run over or jump over the rings, you will be given an extra life. You can only have a maximum of 4 lives at any one time and the life rings will not start showing up until you have reached the second level.
Your final score is divided by 10 in order to figure out how many coins you will get at the end of the game. So for example, if you have a final score of 3242, you’ll receive 324 coins.
Want to make the game feel a little more personal? Just head to the sport shop and check out the catalog there. You can purchase one of the wakeboards that they have offered in the catalog. Next time you go to play Hydro Hopper, just make sure you are equipping your wakeboard, and you’ll use it when you play the game!
Have fun playing!
