Ten Ton Hamster

This is my first experience with adopting a Webkinz. Initially I looked at the Webkinz website to see all the different things I could do with my pet. That got me all excited to go out and pick one, and that’s where it got tough! Which one? There were so many great pets to choose from. So I went to a place that had two stores with Webkinz, right next to each other. I went into each store to see what they carried and had a really hard time choosing. I narrowed it down to three options: The Black Stallion, The Husky, and The Pug. Finally, I chose the Black Stallion and named him “Humphry” after my own horse.

I hurried home, put my son down for a nap, and began my adoption process. The first webkinz that you will meet is Miss Birdy. Miss Birdy was very helpful in getting us through the adoption process and explaining the game. After a short time, Humphry and I had our own room. Well, the room was purple…so it was like a big grape! We had to make some changes. So the first thing we did was go shopping. Wow, there was so much to choose from, and some of it was expensive, so we really had to think about what design theme we wanted. Firstly I chose the mahogany floor and that was as far as I got. I couldn’t make a decision so I decided to go exploring.

We went into the clubhouse and talked to some other webkinz and found out what rooms they liked and began to explore them. We went to get our daily exercise and Humphry walked on the treadmill and jumped on the trampoline. And then, ut oh, Humphry was feeling sick! So I had to take him to Dr. Quack’s Clinic for some medicine. Soon after that, he was feeling all better and we were off to explore some more. We went into the game room and played go fish, checkers, and pool. Whew! It was a long day and Humphry was getting hungry, so I gave him some yummy carrots. I wanted to put him to sleep…but he didn’t have a bed! Back to shopping! I finally decided to make him a wizard’s themed room and I bought him a bed to sleep in.

We got up the next day and I gave Humphry some breakfast and decided to go see what kind of job we could do. We chose to paint a fence and it worked out great! We earned 25 webkinz cash. Then we discovered the Arcade! That is a really fun place that we got to play all kinds of games. Remember to visit the wishing well every day at least once and place your five wishes to earn some webkinz cash and maybe an exclusive item. We earned 350 webkinz cash that day! It was very exciting because then we went and got wallpaper and a dresser for Humphry’s room.

There are so many things to do in the world of Webkinz. We have barely begun to explore. Next….I am off to go get a charm so that we can explore The Magical Charm Forest. To be continued….
