Featured in the New York Times... Children's MMOGs Growing!

Due to the phenomenal success of such Children's MMOGs like Club Penguin and ToonTown (both owned by Disney), children's entertainment companies are looking to build more virtual worlds for children.

With many children's MMOGs showing more staying power than their adult counterparts, Disney is looking to create more sister sites, and other companies, like Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers and Lego are looking to put out the next big children's website.

“Get ready for total inundation,” said Debra Aho Williamson, an analyst at the research firm eMarketer, who estimates that 20 million children will be members of a virtual world by 2011, up from 8.2 million today.
