Just when you thought Gaia had it all...they go and surprise us once again! They have added yet another cool interactive experience to their site called Gaia Instant Messaging (GIM). GIM will enable players to interact with their friends in totally new ways. They will even be able to teleport to each other!

GIM will enable Gaia's virtual world community of over 7 million active members to connect like never before. In a trial launch to its members on September 18th, audiences sent over 1 million instant messages in just 6 hours through the GIM feature on Gaia. GIM will fully roll out to the Gaia community this week.

GIM utilizes AOL IM backend technology to allow private instant messaging from member to member, group messaging, and teleporting from anywhere on Gaia. Now audience members can chat from anywhere within the virtual world with their friends, send out group messages easily, and they can teleport instantly to wherever there friends may be in the virtual world.
