Ten Ton Hamster

All of us here at Ten Ton Hamster have been looking forward to playing La Tale. So as soon as it launched into open beta I downloaded the game and started playing.

La Tale means "the story" and the game wants each player to create their own. As soon as I started playing I began my own "la tale" in the kingdom of Elias. Right away I noticed the beautiful, anime-inspired graphics. This MMORPG is a side-scroller, just like MapleStory, so navigating the game is simple. Right away NPC's teach you how to run, jump and climb your way across all the different cities and battlefields.

I couldn't wait to start exploring with my warrior. Even though I chose a warrior there are plenty of different classes to choose from like wizard, knight, explorer and more! Customizing my character was fun because no matter what I chose, I liked the way my girl looked. You can chose from 10 different hairstyles and colors, and different eye shapes and colors. The clothes are pretty simple but that's because you have plenty of chances to get new armor.

In the kingdom of Elias where you start out, there are plenty of NPC's that you can buy armor and weapons from. Almost every NPC has a quest for you, and it's a great way to earn cool prizes. There were also a few different portals in the city. I took the portal to the forest and started fighting cute little creatures. Most of them drop items for you to pick up and I leveled up pretty fast. After picking up and selling items a bunch of times I learned that the smartest thing to do is not spend your money on new armor. As soon as I bought new armor I would pick up the same armor a few moments later from a monster.

I loved all the different types of monsters I found as I went deeper and deeper into the forest. Overall my favorite things about La tale were definitely the graphics and the monsters.
