RuneScape introduced their new Quick Chat system this week. Quick Chat is an optional method for the players in RuneScape.

Quick Chat presents you with a list of requests, responses, greetings, as well as other more commonly used phrases. Just click on the phrase that you want to say, and your character will then say it.

Using Quick Chat is easy. Click on your name in the chat window or on the speech bubble next to it. This will open up the Quick Chat menu, which will replace your current chat window. To go back to your normal way of chatting, just hit the escape key.

Quick Chat brings some slight alterations to the handy shortcut keys:

• F4 now opens your inventory (which was previously 'Escape').
• F9 opens the quick responses of your Quick Chat menu.
• F10 opens the context-sensitive menus of your Quick Chat menu.
• F11 repeats the last phrase you said using the Quick Chat menu.
