Dofus, six unusually colored eggs removed from the entrails of the dragon, Bolgrot. These six eggs, when combined together, create a great power, so great, that it was decreed that the six eggs be seperated and hidden from the world. The job was done so well, that the majority of people have forgotten about the Dofus, for awhile at least.

Now the eggs have been stolen. For those who play Dofus, you will quest to find those colored eggs.

Developed and published by Anakama Studio, Dofus is a Flash based game. Released in early 2006, Dofus has been very successful, boasting over 7 million accounts, consisting mainly of teens and young adults. It’s popularity has even spun off in to books, art books and comics.

Dofus is free to play, but like other games of its ilk, in order to experience all there is in Dofus you need to pay. For example, non-members are limited to Astrub village only and get to experience just 5% of the world. Full membership costs $8.90 per month.

There are 12 different classes that you can choose from, including rogues, mages, healers and warriors. You also get your own pet upon creation. After you choose your class, you can then choose from over thirty different professions, which include farmers, tailors and smiths.

Battle is turn based, and takes place in two forms:

• Player versus creatures, more commonly known as mobs (PvM)
• Player versus player (PvP)

Whether taking down mobs or completing quests, in Dofus you can play alone, or join in groups. You can join a guild, or create one of your very own. Become a town merchant or travel the world. In Dofus there are many possibilities and ways to expand your character.
