Chris Waldron, Executive Producer of Cartoon Network's MMOG in production, FusionFall, is interviewed by "Jonric" at Vault.
"FusionFall is set in a universe where a number of the Cartoon Network characters (Samurai Jack, Dexter, Ben 10, the Powerpuff Girls) live side by side. Many of the show locations and settings will be recreated for the game. However, both the characters and the environments will be re-imagined. The former may be slightly older, and all of them have been re-interpreted in a common anime style.
"Story will take a big role in the gameplay. Like our best action / adventure shows, the game is going to be fast-paced and full of adventure, but it is also never going to take itself too seriously. Cartoon Network's identity is a blend of action and humor, and this game should be no exception. So, expect quests and storylines that live up to that legacy.
"And since this is the first time that all of these characters are going to be in the same world together, we will get to see how they are going to interact with each other. This should be a big part of the fun exploring this world. I know that Matt Schwartz, our lead content designer, is having a blast playing off of some of these characters that have never been in the same room before."
