Ten Ton Hamster

I love to play Club Penguin, especially with my son. We have fun waddling around the island, playing the various games and hunting for the newest pin that may be out.

Although Club Penguin is a fun place to play, I am finding that Club Penguin is lacking in some areas. Here is a list of the things I would change about Club Penguin:

1. Friends ~ I would change a few things about how we can interact with friends. Right now the only way you can tell if you have a friend on line is when you first log on and pick from a server to play on. If you have friends playing, the server they are on will have a yellow smile face to the left of the server name. Once you get on the server, you can access your Buddy panel easily to see who is online. Unfortunately though, you have very limited ways to contact your friends.

2. Gift Giving ~ I think a great feature that CP could add, would be being able to give gifts to your friends from the various catalogs on the island.

3. Chat ~ There is no chat supported currently so that you can send your friends messages while in game. Everything is said out in open chat, so they only way you can talk to your friends without every other penguin listening in, is to go to your igloo and chat. They already have a wonderful filter in place for chat, so I am not sure why they haven't implemented the ability to send private tells.

4. Puffles ~ I love my puffles, I really do. But dang, do they want a lot of attention. It seems that I need to check on their health every 15 minutes or so when I play. I think that they should be able to be left alone for awhile, and not need constant checking up on so that they don't run away. It would be nice if they could hang out in the igloo for a few hours (at least 4) before you have to start worrying about them.

These are just a few things that stand out to me when I play Club Penguin.
