As Humphry and I continued to explore the World of Webkinz, we stumbled upon the KinzVille Academy. I thought this was a great place that Humphry and I could do a bit of learning each day. First we met the school’s superintendent, Ms. Cowoline. She explained that there are two kinds of classes for your Webkinz: Basic and Talent. Basic classes help build your webkinz physical and mental attributes, while talent classes are special classes that are added once in a while for ‘special competition training’. You can sign your Webkinz up for one class at a time, and up to three classes per day, or you can have a tutor (but tutors are expensive! So it’s better to just go to school).
The first class we deiced to try was the Running class. This class is to strengthen our speed, so up on the treadmill we went! We decided to try the class for free for the first time so that we fully understood what to do. I recommend that you do that for all your classes….especially if you want to get a good grade! Happily, Humphry did not fall flat on his face off the treadmill… instead he did very well and completed his first class.
The next class we tried was weight lifting for strength training. Again, we did the free trial… and it was a good thing. Humphry dropped the weights a few times… I think he even dropped it on his toe! Ouch! We needed to practice that class a few times until we finally got it.
The last class we attended for the day was Painting. Even though we practiced, it didn’t go so well. I don't think Humphry is an artist. We only scored 3 and didn’t complete the class, so I left him with some homework: practice his painting so that tomorrow he will do better.
So, why send your pet to KinzVille Academy? When your pet enters competitions, it uses his/her attributes. The academy is where your pet can boost these skills. There are many things your pet can get by completing these courses. They get a diploma, secret bonuses, special skills, and in the end they can ‘unlock a special surprise’. I cannot wait until Humphry and I complete all our courses to see what that is! We will let you know, but for now… we are hitting the books!
One more thing.... don't forget that you can print out your pets' report cards! I still keep Humphry's first one!
